Education system of New Zealand is designed as NZQF (New Zealand Qualification Framework) which is administrated by NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority). NZQF is one of the world’s first qualification framework of its kind, which is very simple and gives a clear picture for level of skills.

NZQF consists of 10 qualification levels, which are divided from basic knowledge to doctorate level.

Level 1 to 4      : Certificate Courses

Level 5 & 6      : Certificate and diploma courses

Level 7             : Bachelor’s Degree / Graduate Certificate / Graduate Diploma

Level 8             : Bachelor Honours Degree / PG Diploma / PG Certificate

Level 9             : Master’s Degree

Level 10           : Doctoral Degree

 

Admission Requirements in General

Admission requirements varies for Diploma, Degrees and field of study.

 

Under Graduate Courses

Diploma Courses:

Academics: 60% overall and in core subjects

English Proficiency: Overall 6 not less than 5.5 in any module of IELTS or equivalent

Degree Courses:

Academics: 60% overall and in core subjects

English Proficiency: 6 in each module of IELTS or equivalent is preferred

 

Post Graduate Courses

PG Diploma Courses:

Academics: 60% overall and in core subjects

English Proficiency: Overall 6 not less than 5.5 in any module of IELTS or equivalent

Master Degree Courses:

Academics: 60% overall and in core subjects

English Proficiency: 6 in each module of IELTS or equivalent is preferred

 

Financial Requirements

Generally, 6 months old maintained funds or Education Loan is considered as proof available financials.
