Online Payment Mandatory for UK Visa Applications

From 16 December 2013, all new visa applicants in India will be required to pay for their UK visa online.Applicants for a UK visa will now have to pay for their visa online before going to the visa application centre (VAC) to submit a printed copy of the application form and biometric information (fingerprints and photograph). Appointments to submit applications at the VAC must be booked online when completing the application form.

You can pay online using Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards or via e-wallet (PayPal or Skrill). Please ensure you have sufficient funds available before you apply and pay. If you need to create an e-wallet account, do this a few days before you apply to ensure that the funds will be available to use. Payment online will need to be made in INR. When you have paid your fee online via Visa4UK, you will receive a payment confirmation email from WorldPay. You should print off this confirmation email and take it with you to the visa application centre when you submit the rest of your visa application. From 16 December online payments will become mandatory and the VAC will only accept applications from those who have applied, paid for and booked an appointment online.
